Is my room photo safe to upload?
Uploads are re-encoded on our own storage with unguessable file names, never listed publicly, and exist only to render your previews. Delete a render from your history and its source image goes with it.
Roomake stores uploads on its own infrastructure under random, unguessable file names. Uploaded photos are used only to produce your previews and are not shown publicly, sold, or used to train models. You can remove any render — and its source photo — from your account history at any time.
What happens to your photo on upload. The image is re-encoded, checked for format and size, and stored under a name that carries no identifying information. It is not attached to your email or profile in any public way, and the only place it appears is inside your own account gallery.
What the AI actually sees. The model receives the pixels of your room to draw the new design inside the existing geometry. It does not receive your identity, your address, or any metadata from the photo file beyond the image itself. Nothing about your room is added to any public dataset, and your renders are not visible to other users.
How deletion works. Removing a render from your history deletes both the output and its source photo from storage. If you want a clean slate, delete the previews you no longer need — the account gallery makes it easy to keep only the directions you are seriously considering.
What you should still avoid uploading. Do not upload photos containing sensitive documents, faces of other people without consent, or anything you would not want processed by an image model. The service follows the same rule a good photographer would: if it is not yours to share, keep it off the platform.
The privacy trade-off, honestly stated. AI room design works because a model looks at your room — that is the product. What the service commits to is containment: the look is used for your previews, kept private, and deleted when you delete it. For listings work this is the same standard as a real-estate photographer's client gallery.
Start free with a photo you are comfortable sharing: upload a room and preview your first designs.
